Relens

Terms of Service

Effective date: February 15, 2026

1. Account Terms

By creating a Relens account, you agree to provide accurate information and maintain the security of your credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.

You are responsible for the security of your API key. Do not commit API keys to public repositories, share them in public channels, or provide them to unauthorized parties. If you believe your key has been compromised, regenerate it immediately from your dashboard. Relens is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to protect your credentials.

2. Acceptable Use

You may use Relens to collect performance telemetry from React applications you own or have authorization to instrument. You agree not to:

  • Use the service to collect data from applications without authorization
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
  • Exceed rate limits or circumvent access controls
  • Resell or redistribute your access to third parties

3. Service Tiers and Trial

The Free tier provides local DevTools panel access at no cost with no time limit and no service level guarantee. We may modify or discontinue free features at any time with reasonable notice.

The Pro trial provides 14 days of full Pro access. One trial per account. No credit card required. At trial expiry, your account returns to the Free tier automatically. No data is lost.

4. Payment and Billing

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly ($9/month) or annually ($79/year). Paddle, our merchant of record, handles all tax calculation, collection, and invoicing.

Payment is processed securely through Paddle, our merchant of record. By subscribing, you authorize Paddle to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to Pro features until then.

We offer a full refund within 14 days of your first payment if you are not satisfied. After this period, we do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.

6. Intellectual Property

Relens and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Relens and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The npm package is distributed under the MIT license.

You retain all rights to your application code. Relens does not access, store, or claim any rights to your source code. Telemetry data (component names, render timing) collected by the service is used solely to provide functionality and is not shared with third parties.

7. Data Ownership

Performance telemetry collected from your applications belongs to you. Telemetry data is stored in memory only and is not persisted to disk. When your session ends or you disconnect, your data is deleted.

Account data (email, OAuth profile, API key hashes) is stored in our database and can be deleted upon request by contacting support.

8. Warranties and Liability

Relens is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Relens shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising from or related to the service or these terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to Relens in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Croatia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising from these terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Split, Croatia, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

10. Dispute Resolution

Informal resolution first. Before filing any formal legal claim, you agree to contact us at contact@relens.dev and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

EU Online Dispute Resolution. If informal resolution is unsuccessful, you may submit the dispute to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform. If the dispute is not resolved through the ODR platform, it shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Split, Croatia, as specified in the Governing Law section.

Small claims exception. Either party may bring claims in small claims court if the claim qualifies.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Relens, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your violation of these terms, (b) your use of the service to collect data from applications without proper authorization, or (c) your violation of any third party's rights.

12. General Provisions

Severability. If any provision of these terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Entire agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Relens regarding the service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent. Relens may assign its rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets.

Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

Force majeure. Neither party shall be liable for any delay or failure to perform obligations caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, pandemics, government actions, or internet infrastructure failures.

13. Modifications

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the service. Continued use of Relens after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
